I'm finally getting the chance to put in some work on my next CD. The working title is "Music.. For Elevators And Escalators".It'll probably chance a couple times, but that's how I feel about it so far.
I've got 5 solid tracks done and ready to go. I'm trying to crank out another 8-10 to make it a full CD release. Thanks to all you folks who have been asking for new beats. I just do this for the love of Hip-Hop, but to know that other people like it and want to own it gives me an extra push to get it done.
Here's a spontaneous track that came from Doyle and D. Rowe vibin' off of an early beat I put together. They spent the evening in Arizona playin' with a 4-track and came up with the first vocal track to go on the CD. Here's the rough mix. We'll be re-recording and mixing in the next couple of months.

Music: Fave/Big La: The Mixtape
The Friday Favecast host and superblogger, Fave Nite and myself are collaborating on a mixtape to be dropped late March/early April. We don't have a name for hit yet, but it will the culmination of a year's work.
Here's a couple of early trax. Two of my favorites.
Da Hell (Early Version)
Can't Let U Go (Early Version)
Writing:More Chapters Of "The Dead And The Flesh" On The Way
I've been doing some serious writing these past couple of months. I've been planning on writing a zombie novel for more than a decade, but never found the time to get it done. Now I got eight chapters in the can, it feels more like real thing, than a dream.
At first, the story was about a guy and a kid trying to get out of San Francisco to escape the zombie hordes. Yeah, I know. Typical.. predictable.. etc.. But somehow it turned into an ensemble story with about ten characters. A lot harder to write, but alot more enjoyable. The cool thing it allows you to write a series of small stories and intertwine them together to make a bigger story. I'm currently about a quarter done with the first draft.
We've been working on this for years. It's been more organic therapy than a music project. Doyle Robinson's vision of the project was to set the music somewhere in the middle of the spiritual and urban spectrums.
So we were able take his spiritual messages and graph them onto my style of hip-hop/soul production. I would have to say we've drafted enough songs for a full length CD. The first CD "Comfort" should be out soon. And it looks like we'll be continuing the project to a second CD. Here's a few songs to give you an idea.
