June 26, 2006: Ok. I finally got my music page back up and running. Initially, I wanted the myspace page to be my official music page, but updating would be a bitch. So I whipped up this little page. Hope you like it! The "Blue... Kinda Grey" project is coming along great! I've finished all the trax and nailed the playlist down. Now I'm assembling the final disc. It's a little difficult, because I'm trying to make it a concept album. I'm working on finding those last little pieces and bumpers to make the whole thing work. What's the concept? Well, "Blue... Kinda Grey" is the feeling you get in the wee hours, in between 'late night', and 'early morning. You just got in from the club or a party. You're chillin' at home. You don't feel sleepy, yet you don't want to do anything. That's the feeling I want to convey. Hope that's what you get out of it.

How can you define something that's so much a part of you? It's difficult. It's like explaining the air, or breathing. Beats have been a part of me since I was making pause loop beats on my double-cassette player when I was 9 years old. There's always been an underlining need to take a what Jesse Jackson said once (about Hip-Hop) and "...take a mess and mesh it into a message."
I never really cared about being an artist; never wanted to stand on stage or be in videos. I just had this need to listen to music. And when I couldn't 'find' exactly what I wanted, I discovered that I could 'make it' myself! Since then, I've used whatever I had handy (whether it's a double cassette player, or my Mac Powerbook), to create the soundtrack to my life. A lot of people call the style of samples and loops 'authentic', attaching it to Hip-hop's Renaissance (1986 - 1995). But I just call it 'my music'.
