360 Or Not 360. That Is The Question

Well, it's out. the mecca of video gaming has finally hit he shelves. At $400 a pop, i've opted to sit back and wait. Listening to my man Chris over at the Dreamstation.cc Videogames Show (Show #32) made me realize that i'm not ready to fork out that kind of money for a game machine. Maybe when the Playstation 3 drops, i'll be in a better place to buy.
BTW: The dopest videogame podcast out there is the Dreamstation show. check it out if you're into the podcast thing. It's on my 'must listen' list.

Hi Todd. Just passing through and saying hello from the East Bay.
I had wondered how much the XBOX costs after seeing a variety of prices on eBay. I am sure it will sell like hotcakes there.

Todd - wow, thanks for the pimpage!
You are correct though, unless you are hardcore, have broadband, AND have a hd tv, then I'd say to wait. If you have broadband, and plan on getting a TV very soon (ie: christmas) then it may be worth the $400 (plus controllers, and games).
To answer James' question, the xbox 360 is $300 for the "core" (ie: crap) version, and $400 for the "premium" version.
You want the premium because it comes with extra stuff that has a value of about $250. So yeah, you can buy the core, and "upgrade" it to the premium by buying the hard drive for $100 (a must-have), a wireless controller (not that big of a deal) for $50, a dvd remote (not that big of a deal especially if you have a wireless controller) for $25, and a headset (must-have) for I want to say $20 - 25.
As Todd mentioned, more info is available at our website:
