"Rockin' Beats Beats Beats" - Fu Shnickens

You know... another thing that's getting me about being older, is that the rebellious part of me is slowly dying. One of the things that lets me know that i'm getting older is the fact that I really get annoyed by cursing in hip-hop songs. Not that i'm a born-again prude or anything. I just get annoyed at 'so called' lyricists that need to have a half-dozen muthafuckaz in a verse to explain what they're trying to say. In any case, I'm a beats man, anyway. I enjoy a good lyrical verse, but dope beats are what really get me open. So when I need some background music when I'm working or gaming, I usually pull up some cool instrumentals to rock to.

What follows is my latest iTunes playlists featuring some of my favorite beats. Most notable are Floyd The Losmif, new preview shit from DJ Craig Rip, and the dopeness that is Pete Rock and 9th Wonder. Not exactly for the average radio.blogger, but for those who enjoy a dope beat, check it out.

I feel you T. Lyrics are nice. But when its all said and done, the beats are what keep the listeners comin back. Its the foundation. Keep the beats going. Peace...

Pete Rock... **RPM** raises lighter. He is truly a master. And ditto for me on the excessive cussing. It used to be for emphasis. Now it's because people ain't got a thing else to say.
