Random Thoughts by Todd Kelley
Apple Married To Intel: I know a lot of people are gonna want to string me up when I say this, but i'm really excited about MacOS X running on Pentium chips. Firstly, it means cheaper hardware for us Mac folks. It would be nice to be able to upgrade your hardware and not at a second mortgage on your house. And secondly, the option of running both operating systems on your laptop is a dream come true! Need to work, or use software the 99% of the world uses? Switch to windows. Need a real OS experience for surfing the web or doing create sh!t? There's the Mac!
PSP OS update 2.0: Not a real big thing for most people, but I'm stoked about this. I downloaded it from Sony's Japanese site (US version not ready yet). The two main things that stand out are 1) A WEB BROWSER!!! That's right! I said it! You can surf the web on your PSP (with the help of an open WIFI spot, that is). Don't get me wrong. It's a bitch to do. It took me 5 minutes to get my wireless connection to work and then type in my wifey's web address. But then it happened! right there on my big bright PSP widescreen. http://www.mystipied.com popped up in all it's HTML 4.0 standards goodness. 2) is the option to change your background schemes. Not a major thing, but it's nice to be able to put your dog's picture on the background.
Podcasts: I'm officially hooked on podcasts. These awkward, badly produced segment shows are great. Gone are the bells and whistles prevalent in television ane radio shows. What you get the what you actually need out of a program: A bunch of people who love the subject giving you an opinion you want to hear. My favorites? The Engadget Podcast ranks up there. GameOn and Dreamstation.cc are my main destinations for the latest videogame content. I'm still looking for something along the lines of dope music (hmm. Maybe "Big La Doin' Big Things" will be in podcast soon. hmm...)
Just Me And My Music: I really want to turn my radio.blogs into something special. I'm upping the ante, production-wise; making them more radio-style. I like the flow of doing that. I don't like the fact that i need to publish it as one big file. I wish the radio.blog software had a function to close the gaps between songs effectively.
